Festival UC Jazz - Part

WEDNESDAY 24 APRIL 2008
Carmelo Medina Jazz Trio

Carmelo Medina Jazz Trio

Carmelo Medina, virtuoso guitarist of wide experience, own a own language and always looking for new paths in jazz, we gave a concert with songs from his first album called "Horizons" and their next recording, which goes on sale this year, where jazz, funk , Venezuelan rock and make an appointment to meet and bring their nuances favor of a sound recording of high carat.

Carmelo Medina

This time we witness one of the greatest power trios and dizziness that we heard, with great virtuosity and energy waste product of the talent of three musicians who share a high level of performance, complicity, originality, delivery and energy, who converge on various elements that make a solid block is able to provide the basis for the runaway train of the group.

Humberto Casanova

is a musician Carmelo Medina always surprised by the number of ideas generated through the strings of his guitar, a high technical level and its ability to assimilate the influence of musicians like Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson, John Scofield and Mike Stern, by name a few. On this occasion, the trio was formed by the rapid Rafael Querales on bass and military power of the battery Humberto Casanova, who provided sufficient information to make sound that the trio had the strength necessary and required in this type of event, making jazz is presented without modesty or complex, showing its best side.
Rafael Querales

The surprising note of the evening was the invitation made to Leonard Carmelo Medina Jacome, a young harpist long career - to be exact, harpist Reynaldo Armas - who accompanied the trio in a couple of issues and looked great in each the solos that he fulfilled.

Jazz Festival UC - Part VIII

Each festival is unique, stories that Iran writes to notes and rests as the events did, especially if it is a festival where jazz has the lead role.

Nothing like jazz so unique, so those stories will be written on the fly, those that make life on the rhythms of clock

So, we have witnessed major events, and for reasons of time and we could not be working on activities that have been carried out in faculties and departments of the University of Carabobo.

In short, this is what we've seen to date.

SUNDAY APRIL 21, 2008
UC Jazz Orchestra and University Chamber Carabobo.

UC Jazz and Chamber Orchestra of University of Carabobo

The talents of two groups belonging to the University of Carabobo met to give the official start Jazz festival to VIII of our Alma Mater. With very interesting arrangements, which tried to blend the simplicity of a chamber orchestra with expressive of a jazz ensemble. Good for both groups, those who gave their best to offer a repertoire of quality and good taste. Special mention to the mezzo Nilda Lopez, who gave us a code charged issues of sensitivity and performance quality, showing how jazz can move to other areas safely.

TUESDAY 23 APRIL 2008
María Elena Millán

María Elena Millán

His voice has been seasoned in various musical expressions that have nourished. Pop, rock, jazz brasil and have been key ingredients that have been shown throughout his career, but jazz has always had a special place to volunteer in the beauty and versatility of her voice, which managed an exquisite way in the middle a demanding repertoire, arrangements loaded very well made and clean execution, outstanding. Thus, ownership and high quality interpretation, María Elena Millán gave us a tour of the music you like, that you enjoy and savor slowly, like good wine, enjoy shared by an audience that was delivered without problems into the arms of jazz .

The band

María Elena Millán was accompanied by a brass band made up of the outstanding Carabobeño Rafael Querales on bass and musical direction, always solid and dazzling, considered today one of the great bassists in the country. Of the electric guitar was commissioned Oswaldo Flores, offering notes and solos very strong, with personality and style, showing why it belongs to that privileged group of guitarists of our city. The piano was Reinaldo Fernandez, whom I have always considered an exceptional pianist with many resources and creativity to bring ideas from the keys. As a drummer Gerardo Urriera us how amazing it is technical and placing the rhythms in the right proportions, with clear thinking and decisive.

As always, María Elena Millán exceeded the forecast with a concert very well led, emotive and full of nuances that always gives jazz.

Debate: A woman as president? He hicistéis

After in recent days, Spain might facing a government headed by women. Of course, the comment is not sexist, but Spain is ready to be ruled by a woman? The truth is that Esperanza Aguirre no doubt can be a bad president. But the detail is fundamental. I ask your opinion and the way I leave a comic strip Mafalda, offensive but funny.

Brazillian Way Vs Carribean Wax

About Heal!

drum kept secrets, ancestral stories that have traveled from generation to generation and have stayed in the hands of those who manage to pay homage to all this amalgam of stories and cultures that make life between wood and leather. By the drum we have to communicate, build rhythms and has even served as an important element to keep away many of our ills. How are you are the reason that the teacher has drawn Orlando Poleo, drum through as produced Heal! recorded in 2007.

Unlike his previous productions as Maroons, The Good Way or The beauty of life, healing! is a fully boxed disk into the sauce, dance over and over again, but you can also see the meeting of Caribbean rhythms with jazz and other urban expressions, feeling the contribution Poleo impresses in front of the congas, a contribution that has been nurtured by his studies of Afro-Caribbean rhythms that have originated in Cuba, Puerto Rico and Venezuela, and that Poleo has been developing and combining with each other, with shades from jazz and its surroundings, and sound particularly strong, without cracks or seams false. A sound that speaks to the Caribbean is one, powerful and magical, where they cook different flavors in the hot sun we all share.

With a repertoire of ten songs, Heal! record is of such work arrangements that wastes laden with good taste, deliciousness in the making and clothing of each topic and all the rhythm which has been fed Poleo over time, proving once again that the place it occupies within the music has won at the point of effort, talent and study Afro-Caribbean percussion. Highlights the work of his orchestra Chaworó-a whole truckload of flavor and Afinque, as we say in the middle salsoso - as well as three luxury guest that put a special note to the issue. They are Oscar D'Leon, who I dreamed authority on Fri On n'a qu'un , and the Cuban José Luis Quintana "Changuito" and Horacio "The Black" Hernandez in the subject Here are where class and wasting mastered the art of putting life into drum and drums, respectively. Poleo

guarachar invites us to his mastery of the congas, to heal the ills with the drum and to continue taking a stand without any complex with an album that brings the flavor of the salsa and the weight of an orchestra that sails smoothly Caribbean waters.

Where To Buy Marianos Margarita Mix

... Paty Conde

The sixth has given what is for me the best program in the history: I know what hicistéis ... (before "last week")
Program is headed as host Patricia Conde, a great actress and a beautiful girl. The program is based on a mixture of pink with humor program, resumieno, a mockery of these programs, which mess up more than it seems. Accompanying them as collaborators famous Micky Nadal (the best worst comedian used in Spain), Angel Martin, a novel with grace (which has some hilarious monologues, I suggest seeing "Tales ifantiles).
clearly see I recommend this program to those those who do not like gossip programs, because they put ap $% & r, though they have these people eat. At last count for something other than to stunt minds.

Good night and good luck

PS I forgot the other partner is Danny Mateo, what is responsible for political news. The reporters par excellence of this program are Pilar Rubio y Berta Collado.
