Welcome Note To Invite Guest For Wedding

Lebensfreude

(Ay Germanic to see what I am lately, that all posts end with a degree in German ...).

In Basel 2009

Well as usual, had yet to write my annual post Basel, yes! This Swiss city that steals one month each year ...

And that's what I was saying to Alba: back Basel (pardon the n o-translation ... Basel is always longer and less descriptive, so to speak) is like returning home from the beach, this pisabas not for a year and whose corners are accumulated lint, dust lazy ... Anyway. So that does not sound very encouraging, but think about what happens after you get home from the beach, you come to mind all the good memories, all the little things you missed and did not even think you had happened them the rest of the year: that the people who made ice cream ice cream richer, the corner of the beach where you liked to lie out in the sun ...

In Basel there is no sun today, but I have to thank the temperature is maintained at reasonable levels for spring clothes to bring, but things are something like: we return to a job that awaits us year after year (that's always comforting), but at the same time is always a challenge (which is essential), old friends met again, (they are here or come and go, or come and see us!) and overcome old traumas (from falls, losses aberrations, etc.) ...

addition, we are improving year by year as well: this, for example, we stayed in a real apartment and not the box-hole where we were in previous years (even if it means we had to leave the Gundeli, which is otherwise a neighborhood with lots of personality), we have cooking! (Which gives more feeling of being at home) ... But hey, for the rest, everything goes peacefully ...

addition, every year faces a similar sensation: at first, too lazy to leave Madrid, of course (making luggage, collect and organize it has never been my thing), when he landed in Basel, I am always glad to be here again ... Then began the work, which is usually absorbent and exhausting ... So it takes a week at least get used to that curious sense of dislocation of the routine and new routine, loneliness and socializing ... That's hard to explain.

But when a week goes by and the body is removed from the jet-lag imaginary, then recovered somewhat calm, and the green and Basel seventies, full of mechanical devices, basilisks and giant story turns again in our second home.
